What does COVID-19 mean for your wedding?

The state of Arizona is no longer observing a stay-home order, and many businesses have reopened to welcome visitors. However, there are still some businesses who have elected to remain closed or modify hours.

The Executive Order entitled, "Pausing of Arizona's Reopening; Slowing the Spread of COVID-19," which was signed on June 29 is still enacted per Executive Order 2020-52. This Order includes the following:

  • Organized public events of more than 50 people are prohibited unless the city, town or county in unincorporated areas has approved the event, and only if adequate safety precautions are implemented.

 

FACE COVERINGS

Effective June 20, Maricopa County, which includes the entire Greater Phoenix community, required masks be worn to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The regulations require that people older than six must wear masks in enclosed public spaces where 6 feet of distance cannot be maintained. People who are exercising outdoors are exempt from wearing masks, as are restaurant patrons while they are eating and drinking. For more on the regulations, please visit the Maricopa County website.

Prior to the county's decision to mandate face masks, the City of Phoenix City Council had mandated that the community wear a face covering when in a public place until further notice. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has required the use of face masks in airport facilities since June 1.

In addition, the following communities in Greater Phoenix have separate mandated face mask policies:

When exploring the destination, please practice the following:

  • Carry a face covering with you at all times

  • Call ahead to businesses you visit as listed hours online may not be up to date

  • Continue to avoid close contact and remain six feet apart whenever possible

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds

So what are we doing about it?

 

The world is being impacted by COVID-19, and businesses have already begun to feel the effects of this virus. We want you to know what our steps are moving forward and how we want to make sure that we are doing our part to make sure it remains contained and you are cared for! We care about your health, issues, and concerns and wants to make sure we are even more flexible with your schedules during this time. We will be 100% real and honest with you regarding this information, keeping up-to-date with all news recommendations and travel advisories, making sure we are aware of the virus and its impact on a day-to-day basis.

 

ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS:

If you want to delay/cancel your session due to the Corona Virus, please let us (mydigital.crtv@gmail.com) know! From there, we can work on rescheduling the session. If you choose to keep your session and wedding date, but still feel uneasy with health concerns, we will do whatever it takes to make sure our germs do not spread. We will wear gloves, masks, layers, etc. to ensure that you are safe when we are around you. Photographers will be 100% honest about their current health conditions before your meeting.

We will also work on doing the sessions in less populated areas to make sure that we minimize any possible contamination.

HEALTH:

Please let us know how you are feeling internally and externally about yourselves! This COVID-19 is a serious case, and as much as we want to make sure you guys are safe, we want to make sure us as photographers are as safe as well. If you aren’t feeling well, it’s always okay to reschedule your sessions for a different time. If anything changes with our health as photographers, we will let you know as soon as possible so that we can determine the next steps.

 

RESCHEDULING:

Depending on the threat levels of the virus, we completely understand if you want to move the date of your wedding or sessions and will do so according to our availability. 

 

REFUNDS:

We are more than willing to help in any way that we can. If your wedding is rescheduled or postponed, our first priority is to make sure we can be available for your new wedding date. If we are not available for your new wedding date per our contract, your retainer is non-refundable, and this would fall under the Force Majeure section of your contract since the reschedule was initiated by an act outside of our control. That being said, we genuinely LOVE you all so much and are happy that you have chosen Digital Creative LLC to capture your most significant moments, we are willing to give you 50% of the retainer back and help you find an available photographer if we are booked for your new date! Though this virus is beyond our control, we want to make sure you remain confident and excited about your decision to choose us.
